Meet Our Staff

Pastor Dave Lee
Lead Pastor
Pastor Dave (referred by many simply as “PD”) has been at Harvest since its founding in 1995. He continues to marvel at God’s faithfulness to Harvest over the years. Pastor Dave gets fired up by seeing people have transforming encounters with Jesus that lead them to give more of themselves to God and the people He loves. Pastor Dave is married to Jeannie and is the proud father four great kids: Noah, Jordan, Elijah, and Zoe. He loves playing football, basketball, golf (though his passion far exceeds his skill), and tennis. He and Jeannie enjoy renting movies, love watching 24 and King of Queens on television, and treasure every opportunity to spend time doing fun stuff with their kids. PD is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Biblical Theological Seminary, and the Arrow Leadership Program. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC.
Pastor Frank Piszczor
Pastor of Community Groups
Pastor Frank (affectionately known to most Harvesters as PoFo) joined the Harvest staff in October 2005 as our Pastor of Community Groups. It’s a position that fits him well because he loves to be around people and is deeply committed to seeing the church becoming a true community. His desire is to see people become honest and devoted followers of Christ, especially through the community group experience. Pastor Frank is married to Hannah and father to Christina, Timothy, Daniel, and Chaeli (whom they recently adopted from China). Pastor Frank graduated from the Moody Bible Institute and went on to serve on the pastoral staff of Grace Baptist Church in Glenview, IL for 10 years. During a sabbatical he also received an MRE degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.
Pastor Jared Ahrens
Pastor of Outreach Ministries
Pastor Jared joined the Harvest staff in June 2010 as the Pastor of Outreach Ministries. He is passionate about seeing people authentically live out their faith in Christ in the real world and for the church to go out and bring the good news in word and action. Jared and his wife, Yvonne, got married in 2003 and have two amazing children, Joshua and Jenna.
In his free time, Jared loves spending time with his family, watching Green Bay Packer football, playing tennis and racquetball, and reading. Jared and Yvonne enjoy watching The Office, 24, and The Amazing Race. He is a graduate of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and spent 5 years on staff at Willow Creek Community Church prior to joining the staff of Harvest.
Jeannie Lee
Director of SEEDS Ministry
Jeannie has been a part of Harvest since its inception in 1995. She is married to Pastor Dave and is the proud mother of their four children. Her love for and experience with children as a mother has helped her dive into her role as Director of the SEEDS Children’s Ministry, a position she has held since Spring 2008. In this role, she oversees a thriving ministry that seeks to sow God’s word into the hearts of our ever-growing population of little ones. Jeannie partners with a small army of volunteers who work hard every week to make SEEDS a fun place for the children of Harvest to meet Jesus and grow spiritually. Jeannie graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in civil engineering. She enjoys stamping, scrapbooking, and golf (the one time each year she gets to play). She is also well-known for her prowess in bridal and baby shower games.
Bobby Oommen
Staff Intern :: Praise Team
Bobby was born in the state of Kerala in south India and came to the States when he was just over a year old. His family has lived in the Chicago area ever since. Bobby grew up in the Mar Thoma church that traces its roots to the apostle Thomas who brought the gospel to India and is part of the Syrian Orthodox tradition. Bobby joined the staff of Harvest in October 2006 as a pastoral intern leading our Praise Team. In addition to his musical gifts, Bobby is passionate about the Bible and preaching that helps people to see the relevance of Scripture in their everyday lives. Bobby aspires someday to enter pastoral ministry full-time. In addition to his responsibilities at Harvest, Bobby teaches sixth graders full-time in the Chicago Public Schools. When he’s not working or doing ministry, Bobby enjoys playing his guitar, listening to music, and playing basketball. Bobby is married to Renee and they have two sons, Micah and Ethan. Bobby graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a B.S. in Information Systems and is currently pursuing an M.Div. at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.
Benson Chan
Staff Intern :: Youth Group (The Vine) Pastor
Benson began attending Harvest in 2003 and came on staff in August 2007 as a pastoral intern. His title is Pastor of Member Mobilization and he will help us make membership at Harvest a more meaningful and active experience. Benson has a deep passion for God’s Word and seeing lives transformed through the teaching and application of the Scriptures. In his spare time, Benson enjoys watching and playing sports and daydreaming about doing great things for the Kingdom. Benson is happily married to Grace, who is definitely a most suitable helper for him. They have a daughter, Eden and a son, Ezra. Benson graduated from the University of Rochester (NY) and is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity.
Christian Park
Staff Intern :: Green House (College-aged) Ministry
Christian was born and raised in the Western Suburbs of Chicago and moved out to Northern California in the early 90's. In 2003, he moved up to Seattle to serve as a youth pastor for several years. The urgency of God's calling led him back to Chicago to attend Moody. Through experiencing God's grace in a greater way, Christian began his new chapter in life. He has been a member at Harvest since 2006 and became the staff intern for Sojourners to focus on leader development. He has a B.A. degree in Organizational Studies from UC Davis, and is currently pursuing MDiv at Moody Theological Seminary and Graduate School. His interests are playing golf, music performance, music production and food. Christian's long term goal is to end up in Seattle and be involved in a church plant. His life long desire is to be in God's instrumental plan to reveal His grace to others.
Sunny Chung
Director of Communications and Multimedia Ministries
Sunny has attended Harvest since 2004 and joined the staff in September 2007 as the Director of Communications and Multimedia Ministries. She graduated from Parsons School of Design in Manhattan, NY earning a BFA in Communication Design with a concentration in Broadcast Motion Graphics. Between drawing, designing, filming movie projects, and developing an addiction to coffee, she found time in her leisure to chase Björk and experiment with hairstyles that now seem questionable. Prior to joining staff, she worked as a Graphic Designer for several years, but is very pleased knowing that she can now use her talents to build God’s kingdom in a more effective way. She’s also happily married to Charles, who she first met in the 2nd grade at church. They have daughter named, Colette and a son Remy.
Susie Shin

Susie has attended Harvest since the summer of 2001 and has been on staff since November 2005.
