Our Story
Harvest got its start in 1995 as the English Ministry of Alliance Fellowship Church (AFC). The leadership of AFC had the vision to develop a church that could minister to the English-speaking next-generation of immigrants and beyond. Harvest was the result of their vision and will forever be indebted to AFC for their investment in us. In 1997 Harvest became an independent church plant. God has expanded our vision and ministry to extend beyond the Korean-American context.
Our vision is to be a “church of next steps.” That means we are committed to helping people take the next steps in their spiritual journey toward a personal relationship with God and others. Whether you are exploring the Christian faith for the first time or are a veteran follower of Christ, we believe everyone has a next step to take.
Our name reflects our desire to be:
(1) A church that is committed to letting our community and our world know about the good news of Jesus’ love - that’s the Harvest part; and
(2) A church that enjoys a real sense of family among those who are part of our congregation – that’s the Community part.
God is still working at Harvest Community Church, and we welcome you to join us and become a part of our ongoing story.
