Refugee Ministry

Global Kenya

Harvest Community Church is partnering with a non-profit ministry in Asia that focuses on both the physical safety of refugees and orphans as well as their Spiritual growth.  This ministry currently finances three orphanages, but is continually encounter more and more children who are without the care of their mothers.  Most of the children that come to this ministry are products of the sex trade in Asia (Sex trafficking is a world-wide phenomenon. To find out more go here).

In many cases, the mothers will flee without their children, leaving them to become orphans.  This ministry is responsible for hiring and educating caretakers for the orphanages, providing orphans with a Christian home, food, clothing, education and medical fees.  Both the orphans and refugees who are cared for by this ministry are often in need of mental and spiritual healing as well as physical safety.  There are trained missionaries on the field to look after these refugees and encourage them.  This ministry is committed to giving orphans and refugees a true sense of refuge in the Lord.
