From Pastor Dave

One thing I have been most proud of in the people of Harvest is how selfless and others-centered you have always been. From the time that we launched our church in the mid-1990s, our congregation has been marked by a servant heart and willingness to put others first. In this we have reflected and honored the heart of Jesus, who came not to be served, but to serve (Mark 10:45).

As a result, Harvest has been a place of welcome and hope for so many. Many of you came to Harvest as visitors and have become valuable members of our family and an integral part of what God is doing here. God has shown us favor and allowed us to carry His love and good news to newcomers, our neighbors, our next generation, and even the nations. God has been working through Harvest, and I am convinced He still has much more in store for us.

That is why, after much prayerful consideration and planning, the elders are launching the One Campaign, calling everyone at Harvest to take bold steps to renew our commitment to God and His call upon us. A big part of this vision is rededicating ourselves to intentionally engaging with someone we care about and want to point to Jesus. This could be a friend, coworker, neighbor, or even someone living in our own household.

We also want to acknowledge the gift God has given us in our new building and how it reminds us of God’s calling to be his ambassadors (2 Corinthians 5:20). We have a wonderful plan to outfit our facility to be a key resource to further our mission and enrich the lives of our congregation and our community.

It will take all of us, working and sacrificing together, to reach our goal. You are an important part of this next chapter in our church’s story. I’m asking you to join me in prayerfully offering ourselves before God and responding to however He leads us in the days ahead.
